Hi! I am Kristal, a Portland based photographer, passionate about capturing people in their most comfortable expressions with beautiful lighting and flattering poses. Being in front of a camera can be uncomfortable which is why helping my clients feel at ease is most important. When trusted to capture your special family memories and business presentations I use advanced skills, equipment and retouching effects. The artistic process involves creative direction, a trained eye for details and collaboration with my clients.
I completed my B.A. at U.C. Santa Cruz in Fine Art Photography and Anthropology. With over 15 years taking pictures and 10 years as a professional portrait photographer, it has been a joy to perfect my craft while telling people’s stories and share personal moments.

In 2018, I designed a photography studio called Studio Northwest. Studio NW offers an affordable rental space to Portland photographers and videographers in need of a fully equipped production space. During the past 6 years, the space became one of Portland's preferred rental studios, serving a growing community of creatives. In February 2023, I sold this second business and passed along to new ownership.
The Pacific Northwest is a special place to live and work. My husband and I enjoy the beautiful forests, rivers and expansive views.
